ABOUT
Florian Seltmann is a German filmmaker born in 1996 near Berlin, who has built a career focused on creating films that explore environmental issues. His journey in filmmaking began at a young age, driven by a passion for videography. Initially focusing on travel films, he soon confronted the harsh realities of the world and humanity's impact, which inspired him to convey deeper, more meaningful emotions through his work.
Over time, Seltmann's focus shifted to creating impactful films that inspire change and raise awareness about environmental protection. As he put it: 'protect the very essence of life.' His work became particularly aligned with ocean conservation after he obtained his diving certification, which deepened his commitment to preserving marine ecosystems.
I don't create films for financial gain; I make them to share my perspective on life. Passion is often intertwined with suffering and recurring doubts, but filmmaking helps me process complex emotions and reflect on them. Through my work, I aim to inspire others, broaden my own perspective, and explore the underlying impact of what society considers normal.
